    What is Smarteka?

    Smarteka is a global platform for sharing best practices. It focuses on improving living conditions in the regions of Russia, bringing together change leaders and collecting effective practices on a single platform.

    Is Smarteka the same as Social and Economic Practices (SEP) competition? When are the results for SEP competition announced?

    Smarteka will engage the winning projects of SEP competition. So, the national competition for best practices and initiatives for social and economic development of the regions of Russia, or SEP competition, is a source of Smarteka's projects. The competition results are traditionally announced at the Sochi Russian Investment Forum.

    How to submit my practice to Smarteka?

    Anyone can submit a practice to Smarteka. In order to do so, you should sign up on the platform and complete the practice summary.

    What practices are accepted by Smarteka?

    Smarteka practices are the delivered solutions to significant social and economic problems. Our practices are measurable and replicable. Besides, anyone can suggest a practice for Smarteka.

    How does Smarteka select practices?

    Any Smarteka user can suggest their practice by completing the practice summary. After submission, practice is reviewed by the relevant experts, and they might give suggestions on how to improve it. The next step is commission review. If your practice depends on the region, it is assessed by the region's interdepartamental commission. If region is not important, the practice is reviewed by the Agency for Strategic Communications (ASI). If the commission (or the ASI) defines that your practice is actual, it confirms your submission. After the practice is approved by the commission, it is published on Smarteka.

    Who are the Smarteka experts?

    Our experts are the representatives of businesses, and development institutions at federal and regional levels. However, a regional expert cannot review the practicies of their own region.

    What are the expert review criteria?

    Experts appreciate a unique practice wtih clear description and comprehensive additional materials. The practice author can find the experts' comments in their account.

    What does practice replication imply?

    User views the practice page and hits the Implement it button, if they want to replicate the practice. Then our platform enables them to create the implementation roadmap right there, as well as invite their team members. Practice replication also implies collaboration with experts and the practice author. User's achievements are reflected on the platform and can influence the rating of the user and the practice.
